Usage examples
Industrial Applications of Ground and Coated Calcium Carbonate Powders:

1) UPVC Door and Window Profiles:
UPVC profiles play a very critical role in the structure of double-glazed windows. These profiles are produced using PVC, coated calcium carbonate powder, impact modifiers, thermal stabilizers, and lubricants. Coated calcium carbonate powder is used as a filler and reinforcing agent in UPVC profile production. Coated calcium carbonate powders with finer and softer grain sizes result in superior and more effective PVC profile production formulation.

2) Paint Industry:
Micronized calcium carbonate powder is used as a filler in the paint industry. Micronized calcium carbonate powder is widely used in paint production due to its reasonable price, transparency, and brightness. Micronized calcium carbonate powders with finer and softer grain sizes provide superior coverage to the paint. Artin Powder Pars Co. has the capability to produce the highest quality micronized calcium carbonate powders with optimal purity percentages for paint industry applications.

3) Plastic and Masterbatch:
Micronized calcium carbonate powder is widely used as a filler in plastic and masterbatch industries due to its low oil absorption (DOP Absorption), reasonable prices, low hardness, prevention of plastic softening and elongation, product heat resistance, and decent brightness. Generally, the coated type of calcium carbonate is used in masterbatch production, as coated calcium carbonate powders have lubricating properties and can act as a water-resistant layered material. Calcium carbonate masterbatch is used in the production of injection molded parts such as automotive components, construction and sanitary materials, household and office items, and in blown-film production. Replacing thermoplastic materials with calcium carbonate reduces environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions. Plastics have a prolonged return cycle to nature and a destructive environmental impact. Thus, increasing the filler content using calcium carbonate, which has a mineral base, can facilitate the natural decomposition of plastics

4) Hard PVC Pipes and Fittings:
Micronized calcium carbonate powder is one of the primary raw materials used in polyvinyl chloride (U-PVC) pipe and fitting production, which is sometimes coated with stearic acid and used as a filler. Micronized calcium carbonate powder exists in various grain sizes, with finer grains resulting in superior strength and impact resistance. Additionally, micronized calcium carbonate is added to PVCs to reduce product cost.
5) Paper:
Calcium carbonate is used as a filler to modify reflective light, transparency, and paper brightness in the paper industry.
